I absolutely love my Tens Unit and most of all, I absolutely need an electronic pulse massager like Santamedical PM-510.
Why I needed this Electronic Pulse Massager
I won’t get real specific here but just give you the basics. I have chronic lower back pain that often radiates up my spine to the center of my back. I have a neck injury that causes chronic pain through my neck and shoulders and often other nerve issues throughout parts of my body. For the last 4 months my right arm from the elbow up has been very painful. I think I tore the muscle or tendons. Whatever, it really hurts and I’m unable to rotate it fully as well as hold anything more than a cup of coffee.
Now you know my symptoms, let me tell you how well the PM-510 works. GREAT! That’s how, just great. I love it. I’ve used other device like this that use batteries and have really liked them also but as you use them the battery gets weaker and weaker and then it’s dead. Not so with Santamedical PM-510 Tens Unit electronic pulse massager. Use it over and over then just plug it in and recharge the batteries. It has a battery meter so you can see where your energy level is at. This all is a +++ for me.
What comes in the box
You get the unit itself which is a great size. Easily tucks into a pocket or the waistband of your shorts/pants etc. There are 2 lead wires, 6 pads and one hard plastic storage holder for one set of pads when not in use. I really wish there were two of these. ( Save the plastic shield when you pull the pads off so you have something to put them on when done using.) The unit comes in a real nice box that you can keep and use for storage of your PM-510 when not in use.
How to use this Tens Unit
I suggest you start out with just one set of pads just to get the hang of it, how it feels and practice using the different settings. Peel off two pads and place them on an area of your body, i.e. lower back. One on each side of your spine. Snap the end of the lead wire to each pad. It doesn’t matter which side goes where. Ten take the plugin end of the lead wire and plug it into the LEFT side of the Tens Unit. Press the M (mode) button until it goes to the desired setting, then press the T (Time) button for the desired amount of time, then press the “+” button for the strength of pulsing. If you turn this up too high, just press the “-“minus button to turn the unit down. That’s it, so simple to use and shuts off after the set time expires.
Practice with the different settings and strength. You’ll find the right one for the place you are positioning the pads. I have used this over and over several times a day at twenty minute intervals and longer. The results are amazing. After I finish up with my lower back I move the pads up to my neck then my arm. Some days I just start right over again when I get on set finished.
When you are finished, either pull the snaps off the pads or just remove the pads with the snaps still connected. Just make sure the unit is OFF. Place each pad on the hard plastic pad holder. When using 4 of the pads, you’ll have to put two of them pack onto the see through backing that you peeled off in the beginning.
Warnings and things to avoid
• Do not unsnap anything while the unit is on.
• Do not remove a pad while the unit is on turn it off or use the pause play button in the center of the unit.
• When using all 4 pads the unit’s power will be divided up between the four connections. You may want to raise the power “+” level. My unit gives more power to the left side connectors so be careful of raising the power too high.
• Sometimes while using a Tens Unit you may get muscle or nerve spasms. It will feel like a pulling or jerking or an extremity. This is normal and no cause for alarm. I actually like this as then I know I have the pad in a good location.
